It's time to recognise young people.

As part of Victorian Youth Week 2018, we'll be highlighting the contributions that local young people aged 12-25 years make to their friends, family, school or the community. We will be doing this by displaying young people's portraits, and including a story about their contributions.

These photos will be displayed at Flemington Community Centre, on our Valley Youth website (right here!), and at facebook.com/ValleyYouthMV during Youth Week from April 13-22.

How can I submit my photo and story?

If you're a young person, or if you know of a young person, who is making an amazing contribution and deserves some recognition, email youth@mvcc.vic.gov.au with:

  • The young person's name and age
  • Tell us about how they contribute to their family or the community
  • Don't forget to tell us their connection to Moonee Valley - do they live, work, study, or recreate here?
  • Attach a portrait photo of the young person

Please note that if the young person is under 16 years old, we'll also send a permission form to be signed by a guardian.

How else can I get involved?

We've got a couple of fantastic events happening in support of this project.
